These sheikh fortunes’ I have to bring to this city (Sciacca),
To make everyone forget their worries now that is Carnival…
If I smoke the shisha, then I dream no matter what
Now I want to shout “Hooray for Saudi Arabia”… “Hooray for Saudi Arabia”…
In… Du…bai, in Dubai, in Dubai I woke up,
Where are you going, where are you going, look here we are having fun
Between lights and skyscrapers, you’ll find yourself,
This femme fatale, she will make you lose control,
You can count money day and night…

but when in the morning the sun has to rise,
I wake up with nothing to bite[1]…
I hit the ground running and now I find myself in San Michele[2],
And this town has been robbed of all its treasures…!
From a sheikh to poor I became,
And we don’t have any money but we loaf around…
With this sail behind me, I rule everywhere
Now I just want to come back to Saudi Arabia…just to Saudi Arabia!

Khaled is a man of Arabic origins born in our beautiful thermal town, he comes from a family of Arabic conquerors who in 840 ruled our town.
After several years, he finds out to be the only descendant of his family and inherits a huge skyscraper in Dubai, a city which is a symbol of the United Arab Emirates’ richness. Khaled is not a common person but he has magical powers that get revealed when he smokes the shisha. One day, while he was smoking and relaxing, he saw an apparition showing him something wonderful. However when he wakes he discovers the truth…What did Khaled see during the apparition? What should he expect?
“La Nuova avvventura” (the cultural association who created this float) wanted to depict all of this papier-mâché work, where this wonderful odalisque offers his beauty to Khaled who is smoking the shisha and is enjoying life thanks to the richness due to the skyscraper.
…but what of this is really happening?
